Hey there. How was your week? Here are 5 days from my pleasant tidal wave of a week.

Continuing with my little fiction series. Because creativity makes me feel good. And I hope sharing these bits makes you feel good too.
Tiny Imperfect Fiction 02
Steve bragged to Jolene that he was going to catch the most anglerfish at the Lake Waller Waller fishing contest. Well, Jolene knew there was no such thing as anglerfish in Lake Waller Waller- they only lived in the deep ocean. But Steve kept on it and insisted that no, he was sure they were not in the deep sea, they were in Lake Waller Waller and he was gonna catch ‘em all. And Jolene couldn’t let him be so dumb, so she said, “Steve you better get your fish straight or you're gonna catch a whole lotta nothin'. An anglerfish has a flashlight on its head, big teeth, and it lives in the ocean!”
And Steve was officially stopped in his tracks. “Whatddya mean has a flashlight on its head?”
“I mean it has an actual flashlight on its head.” Jolene re-explained.
“You’re full of it." Steve was not having it.
“I just watched a whole ocean show on tv and I saw one.” Jolene ejected a long piece of blank receipt paper out of the register and drew an anglerfish to show Steve what it looked like.
Steve took off his hat to scratch his head and had to admit he wasn't fishin’ for THAT thing and sure enough had never seen one of them fishes in Lake Waller Waller, so he was gonna have to win by catchin’ something else.
Jolene agreed that was a good plan and wished Steve a bucket of luck.
As Steve was walking away, Jolene took a look at her anglerfish drawing and thought hey, not too bad.
After work Jolene found an old barely-filled diary in her dresser and started drawing. Her grandma's elbow skin, raccoon fingers, the bedroom doorknob, the spatula next to the dinner pan, the band-aid on her ankle, the rolled-up sock in the corner. Life felt bigger.

Today I felt a surge of energy that lasted all day. I felt more energy to workout a little harder and was motivated clean up my food choices a little… motivation was high. Then it dawned on me – is today my Lunar Phase Return day?
In the past couple of weeks, I’ve been circling back to review some things about Moon Phases that I’d learned a few years back, and was playing with the effectiveness of how and when to use natal Moon Phases with a couple different clients… wasn’t really thinking about myself and Moon Phases today until I felt oddly good. Not that I don’t normally feel good, but you know, there are ok days, and better days. This was a better day.
Lo and behold, today’s Moon 100% lined up as being the beginning of a more energized phase for me. I just love it when this stuff works so practically. (I’m now going to track the whole year…) This is different than a general Moon Phases. Your Natal Moon Phase is the Moon’s phase when you were born, and every month of your life, when the Moon returns to the exact degree distance from the Sun, you experience something like a personal New Moon. A personal fresh start. And then the following two weeks are good for kicking everything up a notch- motivation is generally higher, workouts can be a little tougher, recovery faster, etc.
Let me know if you’re interested in knowing your natal Moon Phases. I think this is a cool workshop I’d love to offer. Would you be interested in this? 🌚

We have lost the ability to sense because of the way we live. We are picking up sensations and vibrations from the environment all the time and we are usually not aware of this fact.
I heard someone say this today or yesterday and I don’t remember who— I’ve been taking a lot of notes lately. I think it probably was Bruce Lipton… The Biology of Belief is one of my favorite books EVER and I’ve been revisiting his work. Rocks my whole world every time I try to wrap my thoughts around how human beings really work. Lipton goes way deep into the metaphysics of the human body with his (still) groundbreaking work.
Here’s a good conversation, a Bruce Lipton primer of sorts, if you haven’t listened or read much from him. He’s 100% one of my all time favorites.
Listen to Bruce Lipton conversation here.
Read or listen to The Biology of Belief. It’s life changing.

Realized I forgot to wish you Happy Spring Equinox on March 20th. I mean it’s only the most important day in Western astrology (the 0°Aries point), but that’s ok Aubrey.
This Spring, I recommend wearing a belt AND suspenders. And connect to your Higher Power. Dive into spiritual waters. We’ve got once-in-a-lifetime sky events happening. Once-in-an-epoch really.
I’m on the fence with how much to go into it all, as this wasn’t really meant to be an astrology newsletter/blog… and I don’t want you drifting off if I start saying things like “Neptune in Aries…” But Holy COW- Neptune in Aries. Spiritual, idealized ACTION. A new visionary beginning. Activism. Lies and disillusionment in leadership. New spiritual figures appear, spiritual movements, new pioneering philosophies emerge. Sovereign heart energy. Connecting the heart with your VISION.
I’ll let Pam Gregory do the heavy lifting on this, in case you’re interested in the powerful cosmic changes that are changing us all, changing the world.
Neptune in Aries - Pam Gregory YouTube video (probably for astrology fans only)
(What I can do for you, if you’re interested, is give you an in-depth astrology reading for what these times are offering for you to step into. Changes abound. Without confusing astrology language. I can tell you what these times are opening up for you. Oh- I can also give you your Lunar Phase Return dates! Just reply to this email if you want to more info. Or click button below. Xo)

You know, I’m sticking to the topic of Neptune in Aries because today is the DAY. Honestly, I feel like it’s New Year’s Day because of all of the change we are about to experience (are already starting to experience.) As weird and awful as things have been getting in current events, I do feel there is a LOT of good being seeded in the world, people working from their heart’s consciousness more, compassion and connection happening on a global scale, and people waking up from delusion and deception.
And since history is cyclical, and astrology is the study of planetary cycles, it might be interesting for you to see what occurred last time Neptune transited through Aries. What unfolds over the next 14 years will likely be some kind of echo of history…
Neptune in Aries: 1861 -1875
First Geneva Convention (1864)- established humanitarian rules of war
American Civil War
Abraham Lincoln
Gettysburg Address (affirming our nation was founded on equality, justifying sacrifices made for high principles)
Emancipation Proclamation
13th Amendment- abolishing slavery
KKK founded
14th Amendment- US citizenship for those born/naturalized on US soil
Lincoln was assassinated
Louis Pasteur invented pasteurization
Joseph Lister developed antiseptic dressing for surgery
Alfredo Nobel invented dynamite
Demetri Mendeleyev published the periodic table
Color photography was invented
Darwin, Victor Hugo, Marx- all publish paradigm-expanding works
When I look at this incomplete list of notable events, what I see is MORE DEFINITION & ASSERTION. Taking a pioneering stance against or for something. Increased definition of the me vs. you vs. we… If Neptune in Pisces over the last 14 years dissolved boundaries and connecting everything/everyone to the point of confusion, now we’re entering an era of “I AM.” My boundaries, my beliefs, my vision, my dreams, my creation. Standing FOR something that comes from a sudden, heightened clarity of “who I am & what I believe in.” One can see how this could manifest in an impulsive, immature way OR help one take inspired action, finally after years of flim-flamming about.
Again, how this looks in each of our lives depends on what part of your life correlates with Aries, as well as where Neptune is in your natal chart. And then there are other historically significant cosmic events impacting us all- whether the effects are good/difficult is entirely up to free will— each our conscious responses to these times. The weather is fate. The response to the weather is choice. If you’d like to know more about your personal astrology & what you can do with it, I am here for you. Reach out to me and let’s have a conversation about what you’d like to know! Seriously, ask me anything. Xo

Hi Aubrey, Bobbie Brown here. Thanks for subscribing to my Substack. Having fun with this platform. Enjoyed your story about anglerfish. Our 7 year old grandson, who loves nature, was asked to describe his favorite animal to his first grade class. His choice, the Anglerfish. A real crowd pleaser!
