Hey there. How was your week? Here are 5 days from my rather jam-packed, pretty interesting week.

Today I went back to the drawing board and started reworking a little fiction series I’d put on the back burner. (Thanks to the Venus and Mercury Retrogrades which carried my thoughts back to this creative pursuit.) Here’s a sample:
Tiny Imperfect Fiction 01
Though fairly bored with most of her life, Ellen entertained herself on the daily commute to Nails & Shampoo with a specific yet vague knowing: “something” was here- she just couldn't see it.
Ellen was comforted by what she knew she didn't know, what she could not see. She fantasized she had been let in on a secret that God had whispered to her exclusively, that she was perhaps the only one who recognized there were stars in the sky on bright sunny days, sadness somewhere in the room at every celebration, and fear driving every person’s promise. She was also pretty sure she understood what it was like to be a fish, blind of the nature of water, or the world above the surface.
There was a small thrill in the knowing-but-not-seeing, even though it was all very confusing. She felt free in her ignorance, but wise enough to claim her limits. The mental knot of knowing-but-not-knowing made the endless days of shampooing heads more interesting, the monotonous drives more pleasurable, and dealing with Steve more tolerable.

Substacks are the new New Yorker, in terms of backlog. Have waaaaaay too many Substacks to get through. Did a lot of reading today. A few newsletters I’m loving:
👉 In Hand
“An exploration of the intersecting worlds of design, craft and travel; a celebration of people, places and objects.” If you love travel to exotic places (or just the idea and inspiration of perhaps someday going to faraway places), art, design, beautiful interiors and architecture, off-the-beaten-path history, and are curious about the most special, slightly hidden, nooks and crannies of the most beautiful places on earth, then read this wonderful blog. My friend Lisa is a soulful writer and photographer, with a very special, artistic flair when it comes to, well…everything. Lisa and her In Hand partner Meghan take readers on visual voyages (and actual voyages too! One day I will go on a trip with them.) In Hand stirs up fantasies of packing my bag, and I am quite a homebody. Here’s In Hand.
👉 Healing Thru Tarot
Political tarot. Heather Hardison is the tarot reader, but she is also a clinical psychologist and fiction writer, so the combination of expertise makes for skilled tarot readings on current events that are psychologically insightful, quite convincing, and really fun to read! Highly recommend. (Caution: NOT for everyone, probably most appealing for those looking for the light at the end of this DT tunnel.) Here’s Healing Thru Tarot.
👉 Nicholas Morton
A post-by-post hilarious saga of Nick’s job as an eager young assistant at William Morris... it’s a time machine to Hollywood in the 90s. Nick is a really funny writer and a very nice guy. There’s a lot of heart in his humor. I’m fully along for the ride to see how his ambitions panned out. Here’s Nick’s Substack.
I have more to recommend and will keep them coming. 📚

This whole week has offered moments of deepening intuitive practices in my own life and work. Somehow, miraculously, I’m now meditating consistently. It seems to be a good season of life for some deeper, expanded consciousness work. 🧘
Today I found this conversation between Dr. Mayim Bialik & Suzanne Giesemann (former Navy Commander and assistant to one of the Joint Chiefs of Staff-turned-psychic medium.) If you are a touch skeptical about psychic abilities, the afterlife, etcetera, but also curious and open about it all (like Mayim seemed to be), you might enjoy this episode.

My friend Leslie gave me the best book for my birthday last week and I’ve loved reading it every morning with my coffee. It’s a beautiful coffee table book called Flamingo Estate: The Guide to Becoming Alive, about the personal transformation of a guy named Richard Christiansen, along with the transformation of the magical dilapidated house he stumbled upon.
It’s also about so much more. The book is spiritual inspiration and design candy, a winning combo. To set the tone, the book starts with an interview with Jane Goodall in the first few pages (this guy knows people.)
I loved this quote from the interview:
“I would say we need to understand what our life means. Are we here for a reason? Or are we just born and we just have to struggle through and that’s it? I believe every person has a role to play. To me, every individual matters and has a reason to be here.”
Jane Goodall
I agree with you Jane.

Dust off your tinfoil hats!
Remember the Lunar Eclipse last week? The one that was going to trigger some shake-ups? Well, I think this would qualify as a belief-altering shake-up: they discovered enormous, engineered-looking structures under the pyramids that look like some kind of power-generating technology, or something that was an active system of some kind… this discovery could completely alter Egyptian history, and so, ALL history I would guess. Super cool and exciting.
Here’s a post with short video about the discovery.
Something that looks like THIS is what may be under the pyramids!!:
Here’s the scan that picked up the structures that go over 2000 feet underground and span over 2 kilometers below the pyramids!
So… are we witnessing the beginning of the history of human beings on this planet being rewritten now???? (Keeping my tin foil hat on for whatever big reveal comes out next… 👽)
Thanks for reading Five Days! If you liked this, will you please click the heart at the top? It helps. And please share this post or publication if you think it’s share-worthy. A gazillion thanks.
♥️Lots and lots of love to you, for real.♥️
